Veterans' masks delivered to Hannibal

HANNIBAL | Mother Nature provided a perfect day Sunday, Sept. 13, for the landing of the Tiger Flight Mask Mission at Hannibal Regional Airport, where 2,500 masks were delivered to American Legion members for all area military veterans and current soldiers. Each will receive a box of five free masks.

Kiwanis Club serves carry-out dinners

The Early Bird Kiwanis Club of Hannibal's butterfly pork chop and pulled pork dinner on Sept. 11 at the Y-Men's Pavilion attracted a long line of cars for lunch.
Kiwanian Dana Ruhl later said this fund-raiser was important to raise funds for the club's six annual $1,000 scholarships.

Arty Party at The Orchard is success

At the Sept. 4 Hannibal Arts Council's Arty Party at The Orchard, Becky Evans, leader of the HAC Children's Committee, said it was a great day to be outside for this event and expressed thanks to Jean Meyer for the use of The Orchard grounds.
Among the children ready to take home fireflies they made were sisters Clare, Lydia and Maggie Routh. Lydia showed their lights inside and said she might make more at home, because her mom knows where to buy the materials.
