LOUISIANA, Mo. -- Despite a late rally, Marion County was unable to come back and fell to Louisiana 5-4 on Monday at Louisiana High School.

Cooper Stotts started the game for Marion County and went five innings with 11 strikeouts, while allowing two hits, three walks and two earned runs. He was relieved by Jonathan Goodwin. Stotts also went 3-for-4 at the plate with one run scored.

Marion County (7-5) will host Novinger (5-5) in the Mustangs next game on Friday at 5 p.m.
