Kandola secures lone point for Hannibal

The Hannibal girls tennis team fell 11-1 at Moberly in a North Central Missouri Conference match Thursday. 


Jaspreet Kandola earned the lone point of the day for the Lady Pirates. Kandola recorded a 10-6 victory in the No. 5 singles matchup to get Hannibal on the board. 


"Jaspreet played a very good match," coach Bob Catalpa said.


Sascha Pauly fell 10-8 on the top singles court.


Blair Burton lost 10-3 at No. 2, while Elizabeth Stilley went down 10-7 at No. 3.


Elizabeth Brummell and Kaylee Dissel lost 10-2 at No. 4 and No. 6, respectively.


Moberly swept doubles play. Burton and Stilley put up Hannibal's best fight in doubles with a 10-7 loss at No. 2.


Hannibal (2-5, 1-3 NCMC) is scheduled to host Helias on Friday.
