Watson medals for Hannibal in triangular victory

Hannibal senior Trevor Watson earned medalist honors as the Pirates bested North Central Missouri Conference rivals Kirksville and Moberly in a triangular Friday at Heritage Hills Golf Course. 


Watson shot an even 36 to lead the way, while Connor Bogue carded a 38 and Preston Bennett came in at 42. Gabe Falconer (46) and Nathan Lewton (49) rounded out of the Pirates varsity.


Hannibal turned in a team total of 162, finishing 11 strokes ahead of second-place Kirksville, which finished at 173. Moberly placed third with 193. 


Claire Thomas led the Hannibal junior varsity with a score of 48. She was followed by Gabe Keesey (50), Hayden Rice (60) and Jackson Hazen (75).
