Hannibal golf places sixth at Helias Invitational

The Hannibal golf team placed sixth out of 10 squads in the large school division at the Helias Invitational at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield on Monday.

Connor Bogue tied for tenth overall with a 7-over-par 79, while Trevor Watson and Gabe Falconer each finished with scores of 81.

Hannibal amassed a team score of 336, finishing 30 strokes behind first-place Rock Bridge.

"I am really proud of how the team rebounded," Hannibal coach Jason Noland said. "Meadow Lake Country Club is a very challenging golf course, and I feel we competed very well."

Rounding out the Pirates were Josh Paubel and Preston Bennett, who each shot a 95. 

Hannibal returns to action Wednesday at Highland.
