Letter to the editor: Another option for the Hannibal riverfront

Posted: May. 31, 2016 10:19 am

As it stands now we have two options [for the Hannibal riverfront].  One is to make another walking park, or a boat docking area. I have one other plan that your readers might get behind.

We already have the pool of water, why not make a water park? Close off the river and open up to Bear Creek. Put in two-person paddle boats, a water slide for swimming — all downtown.

Children that are from out of town would have something to do on hot days.  I think would be a money making option instead a walking park or boat dock that only a few would use.

Your readers should contact any that are involved.  This could be a nice addition to the riverfront.
