Danny Dopp, 62, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away at 7:14 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Graveside services and Burial will be at 11:00 AM Friday, March 5, 2021 at Samuel Taylor Cemetery in Rockport, Illinois.
Danny was born September 25, 1958, in Hannibal, MO to Albert E. “Gene” Dopp and Marian Payne Dopp Constable.
Survivors include his mother of Hannibal, MO, 2 sons, Brandon Dopp of Hannibal, MO and Ronnie Elliott of Hannibal, MO, 4 sisters, Lisa Hrabko of Ellisville, MO, Gina Scott of Hannibal, MO, Laurie Jones of Hannibal, MO and Kristin Rawlings of Hannibal, MO and his cousin, Kevin Payne, who was like a brother to him. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Danny had very strong bonds with his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Danny is preceded in death by his father, stepfather, Bud Constable, stepmother, Judy Dopp and 1 sister, Denise Louise Dopp.
Danny was a graduate of Hannibal High School Class of 1976.
He previously worked at American Cyanamid and he also worked as a painter and a roofer.
A talented athlete in his youth Danny loved sports. He was a gifted basketball player in school and enjoyed playing pick up hoops later in life. A huge sports fan, Danny loved watching his sons compete in their activities over the years. St. Louis Cardinals Football and later the Arizona Football Cardinals were Danny’s NFL team. His favorite players were Terry Metcalf and Roy “The Jet Stream” Green. A huge fan of the rock music, Danny was a member of the “KISS Army”. An animal lover, Danny always had a soft spot in his heart for animals. He also was always willing to lend a helping to those in need. A caring father, Danny shared his passion for sport with his sons, playing games often with them, he also enjoyed simply spending time together, simply catching a movie at the theater or hanging out. Moments with family and friends were always the most special for Danny.
Danny was a Christian by faith.
