Roberta Ruth Todd, 85, from Monroe City, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill.

She was born August 27, 1933, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Earl and Minerva Murdock Benedict.

Roberta was a longtime member of the Prairie View Baptist Church, Hunnewell. She attended Shelbina High School, Shelbina. She worked as a clerk in the food service industry for many years. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

She married Virgil L. Todd August 02, 1950, he preceded her in death January 08, 2007.

Survivors include two sons Virgil E. Todd (Mary Ellen) of Quincy, Ill., and Earl Joseph Todd (Nancy) of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Beverly Ruth Gallagher (Michael) of Montgomery City and Sharon Elizabeth Hays (Gary) of Monroe City; one brother, Wayne Benedict of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Lois Focht of Clarence and Linda Todd (Dale) of Liberty, Mo. She also is survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Richard Wayne Todd.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2019, at the Garner Funeral Chapel, Monroe City. Pastor Andy Latin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 until time of services at the Garner Funeral Home. Memorials have been suggested to the Prairie View Baptist Church.
