Wanda Jean Ellis, 79, of Hannibal, passed away at 3:55 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Luther Manor Nursing Center in Hannibal.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019, at White Bear Cemetery in rural Hannibal. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

Wanda was born Dec. 2, 1939, in Frankford to William and Nellie Branham Kirtlink.

She was married to Harry "Dickie" Ellis. He preceded her in death in 1987.

Survivors include five children, Vanessa Donath of Hannibal, Debbie White (Paul) of Hannibal, Elvina Summers (Les) of Hannibal, Harry Ellis III of Hannibal and Rusty Ellis (Jessica) of Hannibal; and three sisters, Delores, Ruby, and Joyce. Wanda is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Bill Kirtlink and Jimmy Kirtlink.

Wanda retired this past August from the housekeeping department at Luther Manor Nursing Home.

Away from work, Wanda enjoyed crocheting. Country music and old time westerns were also entertainment Wanda loved. Occasional visits to the boat to play the slots were always times Wanda took pleasure in. Most of all Wanda cherished the time she shared with her family and her grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Luther Manor Nursing Home or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
