Joseph Edward Stolte, 88, of Hannibal, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Graveside services and burial with full military honors by the Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. Rev. Jack Emmite will officiate. There will be no visitation. The family is being served by The James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.

Joseph was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Hannibal to Walter J. and Ida Schulten Stolte.

Survivors include three children, David Stolte, Sheri Pfaff (Paul) and Holly Elaine Stolte McGlothin (Phil). Joseph is also survived by six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Scott Stolte; four brothers and one sister.

Joseph served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Joseph retired from Accutherm as a tool maker and machinist.

Away from work, Joseph enjoyed wood carving and spending time with his family.
