Bo Fountain, 73, of Hannibal, passed away at 6:06 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2019 at his home.

Bo Fountain, 73, of Hannibal, passed away at 6:06 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2019 at his home.

Funeral services with full Military Rites by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Dewayne Larenson will officiate. Burial will be at Barkley Cemetery in New London.

Friends and family are invited to Bo's Life Celebration at a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

In honor of Bo, the family requests those attending his services to wear camouflage and blue jeans.

Robert Laymond "Bo" was born Feb. 19, 1946, in Hannibal, to James W. and Roberta I. Gould Fountain.

He was married to Beth A. Yohn on July 20, 1996 in Woodland. She survives.

Other survivors include five children, Edward Fountain (Gabi), Brandy R. Tobias (Rick), Brian L. Armour (Charity), Jeffrey S. Armour (Jessica) and Jerry L. Armour (Brittany); one stepdaughter, Lori Epperson (Darin); two stepsons, James Palmer (Casey), Mike Charlton; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include Edward Ellegood, Matthew Ellegood and Debbie Ellegood, who Bo was guardian for and also lived with with Bo and Beth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tracy Fountain; one brother, James L. Fountain; one sister, Bonnie Sue Little; one grandson, Colten Ray Armour; one stepson, Richie Charlton; his mother-in-law, Sharon M. Yohn and brother-in-law, Matt Yohn.

Bo was a United States Army Veteran. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War.

Professionally, Bo worked as a construction supervisor for over 38 years with Bleigh Construction. He retired in 2012.

Bo loved to be outdoors. He especially enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Old Western movies, camouflage and pork chops were a few of Bo's favorites. He cherished most the times he shared with his family and friends.

Bo was a member of the VFW and Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55.

Bo was a Christian by faith.

Pallbearers will be Ed Fountain, Rick Tobias, Ron Dungan, Brian Armour, Jeff Armour, Jerry Armour and Johnny Gordon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Schwanke, Matt Ellegood and Eddie Ellegood.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
