Kenneth O. Willing, 80, of New London, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Kenneth O. Willing, 80, of New London, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Tom Day will officiate.

Friends and family are invited to Kenneth’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Kenneth was born July 12, 1938 in Hannibal, to Wilford O. Willing and Gladys L. Kohler Willing.

He was married to Nancy Elizabeth Brothers on Nov. 18, 1961 at the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Hannibal. She preceded him in death on Sept. 7, 2016.

Survivors include 3 children, Mike Willing (Tammy) of New London, Matt Willing (Lisa) of Vandalia, and Scott Willing (Michelle) of New London; two brothers, Frank Willing (Marilyn) of Hannibal and Dale Willing (Pat) of Hannibal. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Alysha Willing, Andy Willing (Michelle), Austin Willing, Morgan Willing, Ashton Willing, Nevaeh Willing, Victoria Campbell and Lyndsay Campbell; and two great-grandchildren: Makayla Willing and Hunter Willing. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Ward.

Kenneth served his country proudly in the Missouri Army National Guard.

Professionally, Kenneth was a farmer. He also previously worked for the Bleigh Construction Company.

A grain farmer for many years, Kenneth also raised cattle. He grew up on the family farm in the Bay Bottoms and loved to spend time there. Old westerns, reading the newspaper and spending time with his grandchildren were a few of Kenneth’s favorites. Most of all, Kenneth simply enjoyed the moments he shared with his friends and family.

Kenneth was a member of Arch United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Harmony Sunday School Class.

Pallbearers will be Steve Willing, Kevin Stevenson, Andy Willing, Austin Willing, Ashton Willing and Nate McMillen. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Carter, Kenny Kendall, and Eddie Brocaille.
