Rita M. Overfelt, 100, of Hannibal, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.

Rita M. Overfelt, 100, of Hannibal, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal. Father Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial will be Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Hannibal.

There will be no visitation. The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Rita was born March 26, 1918, in Hannibal to William and Leona Mae Janes Koch.

She was married to David Charles Overfelt on July 1, 1943, at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Hannibal.

Survivors include two brothers, James C. Koch of Austin, Texas, and Richard W. Koch of O'Fallon; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and three brothers.   

Professionally, Rita was the owner and operator of Yore Uniform shop. Rita operated the well-known shop from 1972 to 2015.

Rita was an avid bargain shopper who loved going to garage sales.  She loved St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.  Growing and caring for her flowers occupied a lot of her time and was always enjoyed.  

Rita was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

In memory of Rita, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church for Masses.

Pallbearers will be Tom Murphy, David Murphy, Eric Murphy, David Koch and Tommy Koch.
