Charlotte "Granny" Hardin, 97, of Hannibal, passed away at 7:34 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at her home in Hannibal.

Charlotte "Granny" Hardin, 97, of Hannibal, passed away at 7:34 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at her home in Hannibal.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.  Rev. Michael Miller will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Friends and family are invited to Charlotte’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Charlotte was born July 28, 1921, in Withers Mill to Leroy Alexander Ledbetter and Mary Susan Hillhouse Ledbetter.

She was first married to David Edward Sr. She later married Charles Edward Hardin in Ewing. He preceded her in death Nov. 24, 2006.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Louise Jackson and Patricia Ann Molles (Ron); one daughter-in-law, Ellen Culp; 12 grandchildren, David Selmon Sr., Diana Smith, Donna Selmon, Debbie Selmon, Donald Selmon, Randy Culp, Sam Culp, Cheryl Sultzman, Karen Branch, Marla White, Lindy Nichols and Tim Rickey; 30 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Willie "Bill" Ledbetter, Bernie Ledbetter, Roy Ledbetter, Arlie Ledbetter and Glenn Ledbetter; one sister, Ruby Ledbetter Lennox; one granddaughter, Mona Culp Wood; one great-grandson; Scott M. Rickey; and one great-great-grandson, Cooper Rickey.

Charlotte was a homemaker most of her life. Professionally Charlotte was a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired from Levering Hospital. 

She enjoyed crocheting, reading and working puzzles. Charlotte was an avid gardener, growing the best vegetables and flowers. She also liked watching the Hallmark Channel, Gunsmoke and Matlock on TV.  Charlotte was also a great cook.

And by no means we don't want to forget she was blessed with the gift of gab.

She will truly be missed by her family and by so many that touched her life.

Charlotte attended the Gospel Lighthouse Church.

Pallbearers will be P.J. Sultzman, Stevie Waters, Alan Waters, Ryan Waters, James Branch, Cody Martinez and Joseph Selmon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Selmon and Lindy Nichols.
