Maudie Elizabeth Lewis, 93, of Hannibal, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.

Maudie Elizabeth Lewis, 93, of Hannibal, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal. 

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Willow Street Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Hannibal. Rev. Minnie Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park. 

Visitation will be from 11 p.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at the church. The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.

Maudie was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Hannibal to Doc and Callie Summerfield Wesley. She was educated in Hannibal and graduated from Douglas High School in 1943.

She was married to Kenneth Beethoven Lewis on Dec. 24, 1948, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death in 2007.

Survivors include one daughter, Janet Wells (Randy) of Hannibal; one grandchild, Morgan Wells; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and two sisters.

Maudie was a homemaker. She also had previously worked at the shoe factory in Hannibal.

Shopping, caring for her flowers and watching her favorite daytime soap operas were pleasures that Maudie enjoyed. Maudie also liked to watch NFL football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, and college basketball on TV. Reading her Bible daily and sharing time with family were special moments Maudie enjoyed.

She was a lifelong member of Willow Street Christian Church.
