Dean L. Harrison, 82, of Perry, Mo., passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at the Perry Christian Church in Perry.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Dean was born on June 21, 1934, in Algona, Iowa, the son of William Henry and Hazel Laura Markley.
On April 12, 1953, in Perry, Dean married Martha Slaughter, and she survives.
Along with his wife, Martha; Dean is survived by sons, Greg Harrison of Perry, Brad Harrison of Manhattan, N.Y.; daughters, Jill Lewellen (David) of Perry and Dina Heisig (Chris) of St. Louis; grandchildren, Rachel Dean Harrison (Jon LaManes) of Kansas City, Mo., Wyatt Dean Harrison Lewellen of the Great Lakes Naval Base, and Lucia Heisig of St. Louis; sister, Frances Langerud of Paris; brother, Bob Harrison of Santa Fe; and sister, Alice Yager of Sturgeon.
Along with his parents, Dean was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Harrison.
Dean was a lifelong farmer in Ralls County. He was a longtime member of the Perry Christian Church, where he served as an elder and on the church board. Dean was a member of the Lick Creek Cemetery Board. He recently served on the Ralls County Planning and Zoning Committee and the Clarence Cannon Water District Board.
