Terrill's night in goal saves Pirates

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Hannibal boys soccer team struggled to score Tuesday night.

Parker Terrill kept the Pirates in the game until the offense came alive.

Terrill made 11 saves in goal, and Hannibal scored two goals in the final three minutes to secure a 2-1 victory over Kirksville in North Central Missouri Conference play.

Kirksville scored its only goal in the 39th minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. That lead remained until Hannibal’s Nathan DeStefane scored with three minutes remaining on the clock to tie the game. A little over a minute later, Tristen Terrill scored on an assist by DeStefane to seal the victory.

Hannibal (2-0) took four shots compared to Kirksville’s 24 shots.
