Monroe City's Bailey Hays finished fourth in the boys meet, while Hannibal's Cameron Nichols took second in the boys race.

MEXICO, Mo. — Bailey Hays of the Monroe City girls cross country team finished fourth in the Mexico Invitational Saturday morning at Green Estates Park.
Hays crossed the finish line in 22:00, and her teammate Emmalee Williams was five seconds behind her.
Monroe City finished sixth with 113 points.
Hannibal’s Claudia Nichols took seventh place after finishing in 22:23. Palmyra’s Lauren Reid was 12th in 23:07, and Aly Noland was 15th in 23:16.
Palmyra finished fifth with 104 points. Centralia won the team title with 67 points as Brookfield’s Alex Sharp won the race in 20:12.
In the boys race, Hannibal’s Cameron Nichols took second in 18:53, just seven seconds behind winner Zyshonne Cowans of Glasgow. Hannibal’s Brice Miller finished eighth in 19:23.02, and Xavier Damotte was 11th in 19:38.
Monroe City’s Kaleb Griffin was 15th in 20:10, and Mark Twain’s Will Owen was 20th in 20:28.
Palmyra’s Spencer Locke took 21st in 20:35.
Bowling Green won the team title with 40 points, while Hannibal was fourth with 92 points.
