Tyson, a company that has been hit by a number of recalls in recent months, has issued yet another one.

This time, it is recalling almost 40,000 pounds of Weaver-brand chicken patties that could contain "extraneous material."

The chicken patties were manufactured Jan. 31 this year and have a "best by" date of Jan. 31, 2020. They come in 26-ounce packages and were sold at retailers nationwide, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The following lot numbers, found on the product packaging, are included in the recall:

- 0319PBF0617

- 0319PBF0618

- 0319PBF0619

- 0319PBF0620

- 0319PBF0621

- 0319PBF0622

- 0319PBF0623

- 0319PBF0600

Tyson alerted the FDA about the presence of foreign matter in some of the patties after receiving consumer complaints.

Anyone who has the recalled patties should toss them in the trash or return them to the store where they were purchased for a refund.
