Palmyra residents injured in collision

A collision at 4:22 p.m. Monday, July 15, on Marion County Road 275 four miles south of Palmyra injured three Palmyra residents.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Alan E. Breuer, 65, of Palmyra, was driving a 2005 Peterbilt and had slowed to make a turn, and the truck was rear-ended by a 1996 Dodge Ram driven by John R. Mata, 18, of Palmyra.

Breuer had minor injuries and went by ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. Both drivers were using safety devices.

Mata did not report injuries, but two passengers were injured. Holden B. Chamberlain, 17, suffered moderate injuries and went by ambulance to Blessing Hospital. Jayden M. Jackson, 18, had minor injuries and went by private vehicle to Hannibal Regional Hospital.

The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Palmyra Fire Department and Marion County Ambulance District.
