The Mississippi River has receded off of Missouri Route 79 north of Winfield between Routes N and Y, and Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) crews have cleaned and inspected the road.

MO 79 is now open in this location.

The route is still closed near Annada and south of Clarksville and more than likely will not reopen anytime soon. Please refer to MoDOT's online traveler map for updates on flooded roads as well as road work locations at www.modot.org.
