After surveying flood damage in Clarksville, U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) said, "Severe flooding in Clarksville is damaging property, straining infrastructure, and disrupting the lives of those in the community. I appreciated the opportunity to meet with local, state, and federal officials about strengthening Clarksville’s flood defense. I’ll continue advocating for the resources the community needs to recover and help prevent costly flood damage down the road."
Blunt met with Clarksville Mayor Jo Anne Smiley, State Representative Jim Hansen, State Representative Louis Riggs, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Louis District Commander Colonel Bryan K. Sizemore.
