Pirate tennis team falls in district finals

The Hannibal High School tennis team lost 5-1 to Saint Dominic in the district finals on Wednesday in O'Fallon.


In doubles play #1 Collin Poage/Nathan Destefane lost 3-8 versus Joshua Miller/Derek Fraser, #2 Austin Brown/Trent Kempker lost 1-8 versus Nathan Heiligenstein/Tim Blechle, #3 Kyle Murphy/Nick Tompkins won 8-4.


In singles action  #1 Poage lost 0-6,2-6 versus Miller, #3 Destefane lost 0-6,0-6 versus Fesser, #4 Kempker lost 3-6,2-6 versus Blechle.


Hannibal competes Saturday at Fort Zumwalt West in the individual district play.
