Delta Air Lines is hoping to reduce the time it takes to reunite passengers with their lost bags.
The Atlanta-based carrier has teamed up with Roadie to deliver luggage that has been delayed or misrouted at more than 50 U.S. airports.
Roadie is a delivery service that connects people who need to send a variety of items with drivers heading in the same direction.
Already, passengers are getting their bags 65% faster, Roadie says.
“It’s been great," said Torrence Abercrombie, Delta’s station manager at Chicago's Midway Airport. "Our baggage agents love Roadie because it’s immediate. We can see the time stamps from pickup to delivery and know that we’re delivering bags to customers in a timely manner."
