HHS honors April Students of Month

Hannibal High School April Students of the Month are:

• Grade 9 - Xavier Phoenix Damotte is the son of Todd and Amie Damotte. He is a member of the National Technical Honor Society. His sports are cross country and (long distance) track. His motivation for success in school is to get a good job he enjoys. An interesting fact about him is, he is a Christian. His hobbies are Legos and video games. His future goal is to attend college, become a mechanical engineer, get married and start a family.

• Grade 10 – Molly Large is the daughter of Nikki Large and James Large. She is a member of the Hannibal High School Color Guard. Her motivation for success in school is to graduate with grades above a C and earn scholarships, and keep a decent GPA that will keep colleges interested. An interesting fact about her is she enjoys entering the Culver-Stockton Art Competition every year. Her hobbies are drawing and art in general. Her future goal is to work with kids and teach an art/drawing class. She also would like to keep up with Color Guard in the future.

• Grade 11 – Danielle Leigh Brown is the daughter of Jeff and Brea Brown. She is a member of the Student Council, National Honor Society, Key Club and Prom Committee. Her sport is Marching Band. Her honors include being drum major in the band and on the Honor Roll for all her years of high school. Her motivation for success in school is that her parents have always pushed her to be her best and they help her when they can. An interesting fact about her is she really loves math. Her hobbies are swimming, watching movies, baking and drawing. Her future goal is to major in architecture and obtain a master's degree.

• Grade 12 – Bailey Rose Shoemate is the daughter of John and Trisha Shoemate. She is a tour guide at the Mark Twain Cave and a member of DECA. Her honors include being on the Honor Roll and being Student of the Month. Her motivation for success in school is seeing hard work finally pay off. An interesting fact about her is she loves animals. Her hobbies are writing, hiking and spending time with family and friends. Her future goal is to enroll in the Penn Foster College program online and earn her vet. tech. associate degree that way.



In Case You Missed It

HANNIBAL |The Bluff City Theater Annex at 403 Broadway will host a summer camp called “A Breath of Fresh Air” for children ages 6 to 10 in July, with separate sessions for two age divisions. It will begin Monday, July 13, and registration is still available.
