Hannibal High School's tennis team wound up in a tie for second Friday in the North Central Missouri Conference tournament.

Hannibal High School's tennis team wound up in a tie for second Friday in the North Central Missouri Conference tournament.

Kirksville won the conference crown. Hannibal wound up tied for second with Marshall.

In singles play for Hannibal,  #1 Collin Poage, who finished third, won 10-5 versus Moberly, lost 7-10 versus Kirksville and won 8-5 versus Mexico. 

#2 Austin Brown, who finished fifth, lost 6-10 versus Marshall and won 9-7 versus Mexico.

#3 Nathan Destefane, who captured first, won 10-6 versus Fulton and 10-3 versus Moberly.

#4 Trent Kempker, who finished first, won 10-5 versus Moberly and won 10-6 versus Marshall.

#5 Kyle Murphy, who took second, won 10-0 versus Fulton won 10-7 versus Marshall and lost 4-10 versus Kirksville.

#6 Nick Tompkins, who also finished second, won 10-5 versus Fulton won 10-7 versus Marshall and lost 8-10 versus Kirksville.

In doubles competition, #1 Noah Evans/Gabe Brummell, who wound up fourth, won 10-0 versus Fulton lost 4-10 versus Marshall and lost 8-10 versus Kirksville.

#2 Chris Lewis/Johnathan Zielinski, who took third, lost 3-10 versus Marshall and won 8-4 Versus Mexico.

#3 Macen Mitchell/Carter Sims, who finished fourth, lost 8-10 versus Mexico lost 4-10 versus Kirksville and lost 1-10 versus Marshall.

Poage, Destefane and Kempker all made all conference. 

Hannibal hosts Duchesne on Tuesday in team districts at 3:30 p.m.
