HHS tennis team edges Hickman

Hannibal High School's tennis team pulled out a 5-4 win over Hickman on Friday in Columbia.
With the victory Hannibal's record improved to 11-7.
In singles matches :#1 Ethan Bross lost 2-6,4-6 versus Andrew Kim, #2  Austin Brown lost 1-6,2-6 versus Ben Rosenblad, #3 Collin Poage won 6-2,6-2 versus Tomas Wexler, #4 Nathan Destefane won 6-3,6-4 versus Daniel Fratila, #5 Trent Kempker lost 4-6,6-2,7-10 versus Lucas McGarity, #6 Kyle Murphy lost 1-6,1-6 versus Eric Kvam.
In doubles competition  #1 Bross/Poage won 8-2 versus Kim/Rosenblad, #2 Brown/Destefane won 8-4 versus Wexler/Alec Hume, #3 Kempker/Murphy won 8-3 versus Brayden Blow/McGarity. 
In JV play Nick Tompkins/Noah Evans lost 8-9(1-7), Gabe Brummell/Macen Mitchell lost 5-8 then won 8-5, Chris Lewis/Johnathan Zielinski lost 5-8 then 3-8, Carter Sims/Clayton Newlon won 8-2.
Hannibal hosts Quincy-Notre Dame on Tuesday.
