Pirate golfers place second in NCMC tourney

The Hannibal High School golf team placed second Wednesday in the North Central Missouri Conference tournament at Heritage Hills in Moberly.

Top honors went to Kirksville which finished with a 324 total. Just six strokes back in second were the Pirates at 330.
Rounding out the team standings were Moberly, third, 354; Marshall, fourth, 384; Mexico, fifth, 404; Fulton, sixth, 464.
Individually for the Pirates, Preston Bennett led the squad with a 78. Gabe Keesey was next in line, shooting an 80. Hunter Parker finished with a round of 83. Courtland Watson turned in an 89.
Bennett, Keesey, Parker and Watson earned all-conference honors.
Hannibal's other two representatives on Wednesday were Tristen Terrill, 101, and Cameron Neisen, 108.
