OATS Transit will be closed Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. The service is available to anyone regardless of age, income, disability, race, gender, religion or national origin.

Hannibal In-Town Service: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

To schedule a ride, call 1-800-654-6287, Option 1. Same day reservations will be accepted until 4 p.m.

  • From Marion County to Quincy: Wednesday, May 1 and Friday, May 17

To schedule a ride in Marion County, call the OATS Transit office at 800-654-6287, Option 4.

To Schedule a ride for Contract Trips, call OATS Transit volunteer contact Shirley Martin at 573-221-5473.

  • To Columbia and St Louis on the InterCity Express — Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: Service along Hwy 61 from Palmyra to Hannibal to New London to Bowling Green to Troy to St. Louis (traveling in to St. Louis on either I-70 or I-64 as far east as Grand St).

  • Tuesdays: Service along Hwys 36, 15, 24 and 63 from Palmyra to Hannibal to Monroe City to Shelbina to Paris to Moberly to Columbia

  • Thursdays: Service along Hwys 36, 24 and 63 from Palmyra to Hannibal to Monroe City to Paris to Moberly to Columbia

Bus will deviate from these highways up to five miles for medical appointments only.

Anyone can ride. OATS Transit is not just for seniors, but also for Rural Missourians regardless of age or income that are in need of transportation. Individuals, organizations, groups or agencies may contract with OATS Transit for services. Special Agreements may extend for as little as one hour, or one year, with an option for renewal. If you or your group need transportation services beyond what is scheduled in the county, OATS Transit might be able to accommodate you.

Robert "Bob" Powell, 87, of Palmyra, Mo., passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, surrounded by his family at his home in Palmyra. A Mass of Christian burial with full military rites by Boots-Dickson American Legion No. 174 will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palmyra, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Palmyra. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2020, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
