Minor injuries result from two-vehicle collision

One person suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night in Marion County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap occurred at 9:28 p.m., April 23, on U.S. 36 at the west end of Monroe City.
A 1998 Chevrolet S-10 was being driven northbound by 43-year-old David E. Mefford of Shelbina while a 2012 Chevrolet pickup was being driven eastbound by 47-year-old Tara L. Hall of Riverton, Ill.
The accident happened when the Chevrolet S-10, which had stopped on Business 36 at a stop sign, pulled into the path of the oncoming Chevrolet pickup.
Mefford suffered minor injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
