HHS golfers place seventh in Capital City Classic

Hannibal High School's golf squad placed seventh out of 22 schools Monday in the Capital City Classic at the Meadowlake Acres Country Club in Jefferson City.
Hannibal turned in a team total of 348, which was just three strokes behind sixth place Jefferson City.
Taking top honors in the tournament was Rockhurst with a 299 total.
Individually for the Pirates, three players shot in the 80s - Hunter Parker, 42-40-82, Preston Bennett, 37-46-83, and Gabe Keesey, 45-42-87. They finished 20th, 24th and 42nd overall, respectively.
Hannibal's other representatives at the tournament were Courtland Watson, 44-52-96, and Cameron Niesen, 53-51-104.
