Hannibal High School's tennis team picked up another narrow victory Monday when it edged Kirksville 5-4 in Hannibal.

The win improved the team's record to 4-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

In singles play: #1 Ethan Bross lost to Bennett Hoshaw 3-10, #2 Collin Poage won 10-8 over Charles Fraser, #3 Austin Brown won 10-6 against Noah Walker, #4 Nathan Destefane won 10-5 over Luca Tornatore, #5 Trent Kempker won 10-5 against Jacob Doman, #6 Kyle Murphy lost to Alec Hazen 4-10. 

In doubles action: #1 Bross/Kempker lost 0-10 to Hoshaw/Fraser, #2 Poage/Destefane won 10-3 versus Walker/Tornatore, #3 Brown/Murphy lost 3-10 to Doman/Hazen, #4 Nick Tompkins/Chris Lewis won 10-7 vs Bryce Robison/Gabriel Thomas, #5 Johnathan Zielinski/Macen Mitchell lost 7-10 against Ian Polovich/Matthew Winkler, #6 Clayton Newlon/Alec Mefford lost 7-10 to Tate Rigby/Simon Chen, Carter Sims/Tompkns won 8-0 over Lathan Elschlager/CJ Easley, Lewis/Zielinski won 8-2 against Ben Austic/Brennain Degenhardt, Newlon/Mefford won 8-0 versus Eric Heckert/Chance Mckim.
