The Hannibal Fire Department was called to a house fire at 77 Lake Apollo at approximately 12:55 p.m. Saturday, March 16, for a report of occupants still in the house.

The Hannibal Fire Department was called to a house fire at 77 Lake Apollo at approximately 12:55 p.m. Saturday, March 16, for a report of occupants still in the house.

The HFD reported all fire stations responded with 11 firefighters. Upon arrival on the scene, they learned that all occupants were out and the fire was in the bathroom and attic area.

Firefighters made an offensive attack and had the fire under control in about five minutes.

An HFD investigator was on scene and conducted a fire investigation. After the investigation, the fire was listed as an accidental electrical fire.

The residents had working fire alarms at the time of the fire.

The HFD was assisted by the Hannibal Police Department, Hannibal Board of Public Works, Marion County Ambulance District, Marion County Sheriff’s Department and American Red Cross.
