As part of the Hannibal Police Department's focused efforts to hinder heroin distribution in the city of Hannibal, officers with the Hannibal Police Department Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) and Special Response Team, served an early-morning search warrant Friday, March 8 at a residence in the 700 block of Church St.

As part of the Hannibal Police Department's focused efforts to hinder heroin distribution in the city of Hannibal, officers with the Hannibal Police Department Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) and Special Response Team, served an early-morning search warrant Friday, March 8 at a residence in the 700 block of Church St.

Four suspects were taken into custody. During the search, law enforcement officials found a large amount of what is believed to be heroin, scales and packaging materials; two handguns, cocaine paraphernalia and a small amount of what is believed to be marijuana.

A warrant was issued Friday, March 8 by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court charging Reginald D. Hilton Jr., 23, of Hannibal, with the Class D felony of possession of a controlled substance. Hilton's bond was set at $50,000 cash only, and he remains lodged in the Marion County Jail.

Three other people were arrested at the scene. According to Courier-Post policy, their names are not being released unless they have been formally charged.

Hilton's next court appearance is an arraignment hearing set for Friday, March 22 in the Marion County Associate Court.
