Each year, nonprofit organizations providing human services in Lewis, Marion, Monroe, Ralls and/or Shelby counties can apply to become a Participating Member of the United Way of the Mark Twain Area.
As a Participating Member, agencies become a partner of the United Way and receive funding through the Allocation Process. The application period that is open currently will make funding decisions for the 2019-2020 fiscal year which begins in November.
In order to apply for membership, organizations must be implementing programs which work to empower individuals to achieve their potential through education, financial stability and/or healthy lives. Organizations applying for funding must be tax-exempt. The application process to become a member of the United Way is open between now and March 29, 2019.
