Lady Pirates slip below 500

The Hannibal Lady Pirates slipped below the 500 mark Monday when they lost in Marshall 57-35. The loss dropped Hannibal's record to 10-11 on the season.
Marshall took command in the first half. The Lady Owls went to the locker room at halftime ahead 35-15.
"We could never get into a groove offensively and let it get into our heads," said Hannibal Coach Evan Cerven, whose team had lost 58-42 to Marshall on Feb. 9 in Hannibal.
Hannibal's top scorers on Monday were Kaylee Falconer with eight points and Autumn Bigsby with seven.
The Lady Pirates were scheduled to play in Mexico Tuesday evening.
