Several teams took home prizes and many donated back to help a good cause toward local women's sexual and domestic abuse shelter and advocacy organization, Avenues.

The Shelbyville Moonshiner’s won the first place prize of $1,000; they then donated all their winnings back to the cause. Then, the owners of Broadway Bar stepped in and matched their donation.

“It is so rewarding knowing we have such kind hearts here in our community,” said Second Vice President Bobi Mathews. “We are grateful for their generosity.”

Winning second place and the prize of $500 was Box Car Willy Chili. Third place was won by The Nutters with a prize of $250. They also donated back their winnings. Best Costume was won by Just Chilin and The People’s Choice was won by Copperhead Tavern. The winners of the Mayor’s Choice were Box Car Willy Chili — this award is a once-in-a-lifetime award and only comes around every 200 years.

The event organizers would like to thank everyone who participated and who came out to have fun and give back to a good cause.
