The Bad Art by Good People title is truly meant to be tongue in cheek, as the end-product of the community leader working with an artist/mentor will more than likely be good. Community leaders were matched with artists/mentors by drawing names out of a hat back in November. The Hannibal Arts Council is excited to connect community leaders and artists in a new way by implementing this new fundraising concept, which was modified from similar ones produced by arts organizations in Kansas and Ohio.

The artist/mentor/community leader teams for the inaugural Bad Art by Good People project are: Steve Ayers and Joel Booth, Brenda Benson and Michael Gaines, Rebecca Butler and McKenzie Disselhorst, Kim Caisse and Judge Rachel Bringer Shepherd, Brenda Beck Fisher and Rajah Maples, Kelly Eddington and Janet Wells, Patricia Garey and Josh Williams, Pat Kerns and Dr. Michael Bukstein, Sally Kintz and Jimmy O’Donnell, Josh McCurdy and Kate Dougherty, Deb Myers and Stacy Roach, Stephen Schisler and Mary Lynne Richards, Cyndi Taylor and Mayor Jim Hark, Kevin Warning and Julie Leverenz, Lisa Wiese and Dr. Debbie Baumann.
