North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) Property Management Director Anita Lemke accepts a donation at the Bowling Green Hardee’s as part of last year’s Rise & Shine Heat Up St. Louis fund-raiser. This year’s event is from 6 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Hardee’s locations in Bowling Green and Louisiana. Customers will be able to donate or buy breakfast sausage or egg biscuits for $1. All proceeds collected in Louisiana and Bowling Green will stay in Pike County to help disadvantaged residents with heating bills. In 2018, Pike County received $5,000 from Heat Up St. Louis, which covers more than 20 counties in Missouri and Illinois. NECAC Pike County Service Coordinator Chandra Roberts has information about utility assistance. For more information, call her at the NECAC Pike County Service Center, 805 Business Highway 61 North in Bowling Green, at 573-324-2207. CONTRIBUTED
