A 32-14 scoring advantage over the middle two quarters helped propel Quincy-Notre Dame's girls past Hannibal 52-45 on Monday night in Korf Gym.

Hannibal had control early, jumping out to a 12-4 lead in the opening quarter. After that the visitors took command.

"We hung tough in the early part of the ballgame, but lost our edge in the second and third quarter," Hannibal Coach Evan Cerven said. "The girls tried their hardest to battle back in the fourth, but ran out of time."

The Lady Pirates outscored the Lady Raiders 19-16 in the fourth quarter. Sydney Hart scored all eight of her points in the final period for Hannibal. Kaylee Falconer, who led Hannibal with 16 points, netted six points in the fourth quarter.

QND held on for the win despite hitting just 8 of 15 free throws in the fourth quarter.

For the game, the Lady Raiders were 13 of 26 at the line. Hannibal was 10 of 12 from the charity stripe.

Hannibal is now 8-7.
