Hannibal High School's wrestlers won their third dual meet of the week on Thursday night when they bested Fort Zumwalt North 32-30 in O'Fallon.

Earlier in the week the Pirates defeated Ladue and Westminster.

On Thursday night, Hannibal won three matches by pins, won by a major decision, won by a disqualification and prevailed in two more matches by decisions.

Pinning their opponents were Tyler Leonard (132 pounds) at 2:47, Gavin Morawitz (138 pounds) at 2:19 and Trevor Wilson (160 pounds) at 2:52.

Tanner Leonard (145 pounds) earned a major decision victory on the strength of his 12-1 score. Vernell Hawkins (170 pounds) was winning 13-4 when the match was stopped on the disqualification.

Earning decision victories were Jameson White (195 pounds), who prevailed 3-1, and Chase Kirby (220 pounds), who won by a 4-2 margin to secure the team's win over FZN.

The Pirates are right back in action Saturday when they participate in the Fort Zumwalt South tournament.
