Clarence teen hurt in one-vehicle crash

A Clarence teen-ager suffered minor injuries Monday afternoon in a one-vehicle mishap in Monroe County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap occurred at 2:40 p.m., Jan. 14, on County Road 284, five miles southwest of Shelbina.

A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was being driven eastbound by 16-year-old Jesse R. Thomas of Shelbina. The accident happened when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

Suffering minor injuries was a passenger, 16-year-old Kierstyn R. Bock of Clarence.

Bock, who was not wearing a safety device, was transported by private vehicle to the Samaritan Memorial Hospital in Macon.
