The Helias Crusaders outscored the Hannibal Pirates 39-20 in the second half Friday night to secure a 69-50 victory in the championship game of the Warrenton tournament.
The 69 points allowed by the Pirates were the most they had yielded since Nov. 28 when Hannibal gave up 72 in a victory over Holt.
Hannibal and Helias went to the locker room at halftime deadlocked at 30. The Crusaders pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Pirates 19-10.
The lone Pirate reaching double figures in scoring was Dezi Jones, who finished with 26. Jones, who along with Adreke Brumbaugh was chosen to the all-tournament team, scored 14 points in the second half.
Hannibal, which saw its five-game winning streak come to an end, is 9-3 overall. The Pirates travel to Monroe City on Tuesday night.
