Three injured in Ralls County collision

Three people were injured in a collision at 4:42 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the northbound lanes of U.S. 61 at Route A in Ralls County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Judith A. Lybarger, 68, of Jackson, Tenn., was driving a 2016 Hyundai Elantra and making a left turn. Tramel D. Harrell, 19, of St. Louis, was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus and swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle, then his car hit the Lybarger car.

All occupants of both cars were wearing seat belts. Harrell had moderate injuries. Lybarger was not injured, but two passengers had minor injuries. They were Ryan A. Hopke, 33, and Lanette L. Lybarger, 51, both of Jackson, Tenn. All three were transported by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.

The State Patrol was assisted by the Ralls County Sheriff's Department and New London Fire Department.
