The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, along with assistance from the Palmyra Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, completed an investigation Tuesday, Dec. 4 regarding a subject spending counterfeit twenty-dollar bills within several businesses in Marion County.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, along with assistance from the Palmyra Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, completed an investigation Tuesday, Dec. 4 regarding a subject spending counterfeit twenty-dollar bills within several businesses in Marion County.

Rashad J. Clayton, of St. Louis, was arrested and law enforcement officials recovered numerous counterfeit twenty-dollar bills, along with misdemeanor amounts of marijuana.

Clayton is currently being housed at Marion County Jail with a $25,000 cash or surety bond. His first court date is an initial arraignment hearing in Marion County Associate Court on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
