Hannibal wins against QND, Palmyra during Quad Tournament

Hannibal High School wrestlers hosted Palmyra High School, Quincy Notre Dame High School and Palmyra High School during a Quad Tournament on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

HHS wrestlers emerged victorious against Palmyra 49-22 and received a winning score of 60-24. They were defeated by Quincy High School 47-28. Hannibal's varsity wrestlers Tyler Leonard, Vernell Hawkins and Jameson White led against Palmyra, attaining scores of 15-2, 14-3 and 7-4, respectively. Hannibal's junior varsity wrestlers Charlie Culp and Eli Williams each received scores of 6-0.

Against Quincy High School, Hannibal's varsity wrestlers Jameson White scored 15-0, Trevor Wilson scored 12-1 and Vernell Hawkins scored 11-1. Junior varsity wrestlers Matt Wilson scored 12-2, Eli Williams scored 6-3 and Brady Zimmerman scored 6-0.

In matches against Quincy Notre Dame High School, Brady Zimmerman and Trevor Wilson led in points, with 14-6 and 11-0, respectively.

Hannibal High School wrestlers will return to action at the Wentzville Liberty Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 8.
