The Prospect League, home to elite collegiate baseball players from across the country, released its 2019 game schedule Tuesday, Dec. 4.

Once again, each team will play a 60-game regular-season in the summer collegiate wood-bat league, opening Thursday, May 30. The schedule is designed to give players a taste of what it's like to play minor league baseball. Teams travel by charter bus with numerous overnight series in opponents' cities. Playing 60 games in just under 70 days in great venues and in front of enthusiastic crowds provides a truly professional experience.

The Prospect League adds three new teams in 2019. The Cape Catfish in Cape Girardeau, Normal CornBelters in Normal, Ill., and one team that will be formally announced to the public at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10.

For the purposes of playoffs, Prospect League teams are divided into an East Division and a West Division with limited crossover play. The East Division includes the Champion City Kings (Springfield, Ohio), Chillicothe Paints (Chillicothe, Ohio), West Virginia Miners (Beckley, W.Va.), Lafayette Aviators (Lafayette, Ind.), REX (Terre Haute, Ind.) and Danville Dans (Danville, Ill.). The West Division is comprised of the Normal CornBelters (Normal, Ill.), Springfield Sliders (Springfield, Ill.), Quincy Gems (Quincy, Ill.), Hannibal Hoots (Hannibal), Cape Catfish (Cape Girardeau, Mo.) and the aforementioned team that will be introduced Monday.

The 2019 season also brings the return of the Prospect League All-Star Game after a two-year hiatus. The 2019 Prospect League All-Star Game will be hosted by the Normal CornBelters during the three-day All-Star Break that runs July 22-24.

"Every fan should look forward to watching their team’s season unfold this summer. It should be a great year for the Prospect League to continue its ongoing success," said Prospect League commissioner Dennis Bastien.

Individual teams will be releasing their schedules in the coming hours and days. The Prospect League master schedule is below and is also available at www.ProspectLeague.com.
