Passenger injured in one-vehicle crash

An Elsberry teen-ager was seriously injured Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash in Pike County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap happened at 9:10 a.m., Nov. 25, on MO 79 at County Road 219.

A 1998 Toyota Tacoma was being driven southbound by 19-year-old Connor L. Stone of Elsberry. The vehicle crossed the center of the road and traveled off the left side of the road. When Stone overcorrected the vehicle began to skid and overturned, traveling off the right side of the road.

Injured was a passenger, 17-year-old Jonathan L. Davis of Elsberry, who was not wearing a safety device.

Davis was transported by ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis.
