Leaps of Love, which helps local families affected by childhood cancer and other childhood diseases, receives an annual donation from the local Loafers Car Club.
On Oct. 10 Leaps of Love representatives Patty Light and Sandy Terry received the Loafers' donation of $1,500 at the club's monthly meeting.
To date the Loafers Car Club has donated a total of $25,000.00 to Leaps of Love. Ann Wideman coordinates the club's efforts to support Leaps of Love, such as the annual barbecue and the Leaps of Love rides for kids. Loafers Car Club members come together and give the children rides in cars from the past.
The Loafers Car Club uses the donations received at the club's monthly cruise-in for the Leaps of Love charity. The monthly cruise-ins are currently at Farm and Home parking lot and are sponsored by Auto Zone and County Market. The Loafers raffled off a snap-on chair donated by Bryan Neil of Mendon, Ill., a snap-on dealer. The Loafers Club appreciates everyone who makes donations.
