Teens in Motion completed their first week and are looking forward to an exciting year ahead. Since many of the teens are working, supervisors combined the two groups together so they've spent some time getting to know each other. They did some icebreaker activities and set goals for the school year and beyond. They will continue the mission of “Teaching Teens and Preteens to Value Work, to Value Their Community and to Value Their Futures.” In Teens in Motion, participants prepare for success after graduation by doing lots of mock interviews, visiting various job sites and having speakers from different professions come speak to the teens. They also visit and learn about different college and trade school options. Second year Teens in Motion participant Elizabeth Chavez said what she is most looking forward to this year is “Learning more about different jobs and colleges around the area.”
